I'm going to be using Oratex for the time first due to the non-availability of Solartex and have some questions. The rolls of Oratex I received did not include any application instructions. So, are the iron temperatures similar to Solartex? Also, is it necessary to seal the covering to help protect against dirt/dust/etc.? I'm using Antique and Fokker Red. What is the best material to use for sealing without adding a lot of weight? Also, what has been the experience of other users with sagging over time due to temperature variations? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Jim

- How should I store my Baudis Diana 2 sailplane. Is it OK to stand the wing panels vertically along the wall or should I store the panels by laying them on the floor, leading edge down? Does it make any difference? Is there a proper way to store the fuse? Does anyone in the USA make fuse covers for fuselages? I like the Revoc covers but not willing to lay out the bucks at this time. Thanks in advance !
- My Diana 2 was delivered today. How do I use the tool the release the canopy? Do I insert it with the L shape point down or up? Should I feel it grab onto something ? Do I pull up on the tool or do I pull it towards the rear of the plane. I've been playing with it for a few minutes and can't feel it grab anything. I am a little hesitant to pull too hard. Thanks, Steve G Houston, TX
Scheme that was posted on old Scale Soaring forum that was my inspiration. Using Blue instead of Orange and am going to make the top and bottom of wings different pattern.
Looks awesome! How long have you been plugging away at it?
Got the kit at end of March. Started on Stabs a couple weeks later. Fuse was started at beginning of May. Took longer to frame up than I wanted but had to calculate and design firewall and “cowling” for the electric motor. Fuse was done and covered by Labor Day. Wings started after that. 1 wing framed up and other on the table now.
Right wing was stable enough to take off the board and do a test fit on Thanksgiving day.
