I'm going to be using Oratex for the time first due to the non-availability of Solartex and have some questions. The rolls of Oratex I received did not include any application instructions. So, are the iron temperatures similar to Solartex? Also, is it necessary to seal the covering to help protect against dirt/dust/etc.? I'm using Antique and Fokker Red. What is the best material to use for sealing without adding a lot of weight? Also, what has been the experience of other users with sagging over time due to temperature variations? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Jim
How should I store my Baudis Diana 2 sailplane. Is it OK to stand the wing panels vertically along the wall or should I store the panels by laying them on the floor, leading edge down? Does it make any difference? Is there a proper way to store the fuse? Does anyone in the USA make fuse covers for fuselages? I like the Revoc covers but not willing to lay out the bucks at this time. Thanks in advance !
My Diana 2 was delivered today. How do I use the tool the release the canopy? Do I insert it with the L shape point down or up? Should I feel it grab onto something ? Do I pull up on the tool or do I pull it towards the rear of the plane. I've been playing with it for a few minutes and can't feel it grab anything. I am a little hesitant to pull too hard. Thanks, Steve G Houston, TX
